SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- On Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department partnered up with Target for the “Shop with a Cop” event.

Sacramento Police provided $100 Target gift cards to 45 selected children from within the Sacramento community.

"This awesome experience allowed children to shop, hand-in-hand, with a Sacramento Police Officer," said Sgt. Vance Chandler.

Chandler tells ABC10 this event is always fun and it's great to bond with children in the community. Most often, the children learn something new about law enforcement.
