3 wounded in shooting inside Modesto bar

3 people were wounded in a shooting that occurred at Modesto's The Tilted Turtle bar, with two sustaining life threatening injuries and one sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

MODESTO, Calif. — Update: 5:25 p.m.

Modesto police have identified the victims that sustained critical injuries in a Modesto bar shooting as a 25 year old female and 27-year-old male.

The third victim was said to have non-life threatening injuries.

According to authorities, The Tilted Turtle bar had a scheduled event with numerous performers and a "packed house."

"There was just people running around, trying to find somewhere to go - just fearing for their life. Even when the cops showed up, people were still running trying to get away," said Shannon Laney, a neighbor in the area. "They didn’t know where the shooter was or anything like that.”

“They were shooting everywhere and you couldn’t tell where they were coming from or where they were going, so I just didn’t take any chances,” said Ray McColley, another neighbor in the area.
