Davis police say the suspect ran from the scene when the victim began to scream and fight back.

DAVIS, Calif. — Davis Police are looking for a suspect who they say tried to sexually assault a woman in her driveway.

The woman told police that she parked her car near the front door of her home on the 1800 block of Birch Lane around midnight on Monday. Police say a suspect, described only as male, walked up to her and forced her to the ground.

Officials said the suspect ran from the scene when the victim screamed loudly and began to fight back. The attempted sexual assault happened not far from Birch Lane Elementary School.

Police said the victim was not physically injured and no weapons were seen during the incident.

Police say the male suspect possibly wore a "puffy" jacket that was made with "squishy material." No additional information is available at this time.
