The Stockton Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead from a gunshot wound Saturday evening.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday, officers with the Stockton Police Department responded to a call regarding a subject who was down in the 400 block of South San Joaquin Street, police said.
Upon arrival, the victim, a man in his twenties, was non-responsive and had a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials said.
The investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
