Synagogue vandalism investigated as hate crime in Orangevale

On November 4, staff members reported arriving to the temple located on the 7700 block of Hazel Ave. and finding several posters on the outside of the building, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is investigating posters found at Temple Or Rishon, a Jewish synagogue, as a hate crime.

On November 4, staff members reported arriving to the temple located on the 7700 block of Hazel Ave. and finding several posters on the outside of the building, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The posters were anti-Semitic and made references to mass casualty incidents that have occurred at other places of worship in the past, according to officials.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is joining the sheriff's department on the investigation of the hate crime. Law enforcement officials have reviewed surveillance video and released a video clip of the suspects, according to the sheriff's department. Detectives are looking for any leads related to the incident.
